Rutgerson Marin

Rutgerson Marin AB has been supplying boat manufacturers worldwide with equipment such as hatches, blocks, couplings, and deck fittings since 1976. The company operates from the sailing hub of Marstrand, where both manufacturing and warehousing are located.

In 2022, Rutgerson began expanding their raw materials warehouse, a construction project that reduced the number of docks and thereby the availability of unloading/loading opportunities. As a solution, they chose to build up a larger raw materials warehouse, which naturally required more storage space.

To free up space, they decided to dismantle parts of the finished goods warehouse stored on shelves – these products were instead moved into a used Vertical Lift Module (VLM). Rutgerson purchased a Megalift FSE 7.1 from 2006. Although Rutgerson had also received a quote for a new VLM, the cost and rapid delivery time made the decision to go with a used unit from Relevator the preferred choice.
