Förlagssystem

Förlagssystem started in 1989 and is a well-established third-party logistics provider in the Swedish market. The company originally managed logistics for book publishers, a task that has evolved significantly over the years, especially with the rise of e-commerce.

By late 2021, Förlagssystem faced an urgent need for additional storage space and hired a logistics consultant to find a solution. As part of several improvements and optimizations, Förlagssystem decided to explore Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) – and opted for two used Kardex Shuttle XP 250 units from 2012.

The Vertical Lift Modules were a perfect fit for Förlagssystem as they offered substantial storage capacity. Each VLM has over 90 shelves and a machine height of just under 11 meters.
