Dagab and Relevator: A Collaboration for Sustainability and Efficiency

Dagab is currently responsible for developing Axfood Group’s assortment and managing the entire flow of goods, including warehousing and transportation. Relevator came into contact with Dagab when they expressed interest in selling their packaging machines. During a visit to Dagab’s warehouse, it also became clear that they wanted to dispose of their Vertical Lift Modules.

Dagab had six Vertical Lift Modules of the model Weland Compact Twin 3660, manufactured in 2015 and 2019. We at Relevator quickly became involved in the project and managed the entire process, from disassembly to the transport of the Vertical Lift Modules from their facility. The machines were then sold to five different customers throughout Sweden. In addition to the Vertical Lift Modules, we also sold two packaging machines included in the project, which helped maximize value for both Dagab and the buyers.

When companies decide to dispose of their machines, we offer a comprehensive solution that covers the entire process:

• We coordinate the disassembly with the machine’s manufacturer.
• We order appropriate packaging materials to protect the machines during transport.
• We deliver either directly to the buyer or to our warehouse for interim storage.

Our goal is to ensure that each step of the project is carried out with precision, so our customers can feel confident that the machines are handled professionally and efficiently.

By selling machines instead of merely scrapping them, Relevator contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly operation. By reusing Vertical Lift Modules that still have a long lifespan, we reduce the need to manufacture new machines. This saves significant amounts of energy and raw materials.
